Notes accumulate quietly between sessions. The accounting is the work; the work is the accounting.

What follows is the long form. The dossier above is the cover slip; this is the file underneath. Read in any order. Annotated where useful, unannotated where not. Filed by hand. Kept on the record.
The instrument is built for what is held now and rehearsed for what comes. The protocols here apply to the optic in the hand and to the optic that will follow.

What the chamber agrees to.

Where claims are proven
The marketing pages claim. The ledger proves. Each entry is filed by the maker who wrote it, dated, and left here. Notes accumulate quietly. They are not promoted, not weighted, not reordered for taste.

Long form, plain voice
An entry is as long as it needs to be. There is no minimum, no maximum, no template enforced beyond a date and a signing maker. Plain English. No marketing. No exclamation marks.

Errata are entries
When a claim is wrong it is corrected by a new entry, dated, signed, and linking the original. The original is not edited. The reader can see what changed and when.

The instrument writes its own history
The ledger is the instrument's autobiography in real time. Each chamber files. The carrier files. The maker files when they choose to. The reader who comes later inherits a corpus, not a brand.

Provenance is enforced
An entry without a signing maker is rejected. An entry without a date is rejected. An entry that contradicts a previous entry without acknowledging it is rejected. Provenance is a precondition.

A note was filed on a feature that was later removed. The feature did not survive. The note did. Someone else, building something else, found the note, read it, and saved themselves a week. The note had not been kept for them. The note had been kept because keeping it was the discipline.

- A filed note. Dated, signed, addressable by URL.

- A new entry that corrects an earlier one. The original is not deleted.

errata — corrections of record
What was wrong, what was filed.

- Λ.5 · 2026-iv-19Cost-per-session figure was off by a constant factor. The corrected figure was filed as an erratum, not as a silent edit.

The ledger is the long memory of the instrument. It is the place where what was claimed is proven, what was wrong is corrected, and what was learned is left for whoever comes next. The reader who builds on the operating layer is invited to read it.
