Terms of Service

By installing, signing in to, or using any Voir app (VoirLite, TrainAR, NavAR, LearnAR, the Immersive 2D / 3D kits, and the SociAR network), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the apps.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Union). If you use the apps on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for activity on your account. Sign-in is delegated to Apple or Google; protect your underlying identity credentials accordingly.
• One human, one account. Don’t impersonate another person, brand, or organization.
• You may close your account at any time from Account → Sign Out → Delete account.

3. User content

• You retain ownership of content you publish.
• You grant Voir a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, transcode, display, and back up your content solely to operate and improve the apps. The license terminates when you delete the content (subject to a brief technical retention window for backups, capped at 30 days).
• Don’t post content you don’t have rights to. Don’t post content that is illegal, infringing, sexually explicit, threatening, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or that promotes violence, self-harm, or terrorism.
• We may remove content that violates these Terms, our community rules, or applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the apps except where Apple’s Developer Agreement explicitly permits it.
• Probe, scan, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or moderation systems.
• Run automated tools (scrapers, bots) against our servers without written permission.
• Use the apps to send spam or unsolicited promotional messages.
• Build a competing product using data scraped from the apps.

5. AR placements and locations

• AR placements may be associated with a real-world coordinate. By publishing one as Public you accept that anyone within range may visit and view it.
• Don’t place AR content on or above private property without permission, or in places where it would obstruct safety (intersections, hazards, etc.).
• We may remove placements at the request of a property owner or authority.

6. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

If a Voir app offers a paid subscription, the price, billing period, and renewal terms will be disclosed at the point of purchase. Payment is processed by Apple under its standard terms. Cancellations are managed through the iOS Settings → Subscriptions panel.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms, abuse other users, or pose a risk to the platform. Where possible we will give notice; in cases of fraud, harm, or legal compulsion we may act without notice. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account.

8. Disclaimers

The apps are provided “as is” and “as available.” Voir disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the apps will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AR features will function in all environments.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voir’s total liability arising out of or related to these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater. In no event will Voir be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in that case the limitations apply to the maximum extent the law allows.

10. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold Voir harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the apps in violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else’s rights.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

If you reside in the EU/UK, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence still apply.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the revised Terms.
